Dora is one of the up and comers in the zydeco world, but she is not a new artist. Having always been amidst the Houston Zydeco culture, it wasn't until a family tradegy that she actively began her journey as a zydeco musician. In just a few short years, Dora has assembled her band, released three CDs, and toured the United States, gaining a loyal following.

With a strong stage show, showcasing her accordion skills, energetic singing, and commanding presence, Dora has established herself as a artist capable of performing at any venue, with any other band, and more than holding her own. Following in the footsteps of her zydeco idols Beau Jocque and Rockin' Sidney, Dora continues to blaze her own unique trail.

Zydeco, in general, is a male-dominated genre; and it has been a struggle gaining acceptance and respect for all women. However, Dora is known for playing as vigorously as any man, and she has earned the respect of her peers.

Dora is the mother of a son and two
daughters and currently resides
in Houston.
